Android Mobile Credentials


  1. Go to Settings on your phone and verify you have Android version 5 or higher.
  2. Go to Settings on your phone and look for your NFC setting and verify it is ON. If it is OFF the Mobile Credential option will never appear in the App.
  3. You may or may not have to be connected to Wifi on your phone to download the App.
  4. Go to Android App Store.
  5. Search for App = Blackboard Transact eAccounts.
  6. Install the App.
  7. Run the App.
  8. You will see Select a Site. Select Site = Loyola Marymount University.
  9. You will be prompted for Login Type. Select Faculty/Staff Login or Student Login, depending upon your OneCard type.
  10. Enter your LMU network PC login user ID and password.
  11. The App accepts your login.
  12. After you get into the first screen you should either see the Mobile Credential button or it should pop up.
  13. Accept the Mobile Credential installation.
  14. You should see your Mobile Credential appear on your phone.
  15. You nave options at the bottom to set it to Automatic or Manual.
  16. If you choose Automatic, the Mobile Credential will remain active in background of your Android App. You will need to slide the phone at a Blackboard NFC Reader without bringing the Mobile Credential display to the foreground of your phone. You will feel the phone vibrate when the NFC read occurs.
  17. If you choose Manual with PIN, you will need to enter a PIN to activate the Mobile Credential. It will not be automatically active on your phone. You will have to bring the Mobile Credential to the phone foreground and enter your PIN. Then you can use the Mobile Credential for a transaction.
